New Cabbage Soup Diet

The new cabbage soup diet is basically the same as the old cabbage soup diet that has been around for years. There are a few twists to the new version that make it a little different, but it is still a very low calorie diet that consists of eating a lot of cabbage. The cabbage soup diet cuts calories by drastic amounts, thus the weight loss is also dramatic. The great results are short lived because no one can sustain this diet indefinitely.

There is not a claim as to who first started this diet. The idea is to eat as much cabbage soup as you want. You are to eat enough to ensure that you do not ever feel full. The foods that you are allowed to eat are broken down so that only a couple of things are allowed each day. Of course, you eat the soup everyday.

Day 1 -Fruit as you like, no bananas

Day 2 - Vegetables

Day 3 - Fruit and vegetables no potatoes and bananas

Day 4 - Bananas and skimmed milk

Day 5 - Beef and tomatoes

Day 6 - Beef and vegetables no potatoes

Day 7 - Brown rice, vegetables no potatoes

recipes for the cabbage soup vary, but all are based on cabbage, onions, tinned tomatoes, Bell peppers, celery, carrots and onion soup mix.

The cabbage soup diet does work, but the results are very short term. the weight is regained as quickly as it came off. This diet is often used by people who need a quick fix for some upcoming event. The diet is pretty simple and easy to keep up with, but it requires a lot of shopping and cooking. The soup stores well for a few days at a time in the refrigerator.

For those of us who need help losing weight a better choice would be hoodia gordonii.

Practice Yoga for Anxiety Relief

Could yoga have all the answers to anxiety? Why is it that anxiety, stress, and unhappiness take over so many peoples lives? If you listen to a doubting Thomas, nothing works, but if you read below, you will see some solutions.

In fact, all forms of Yoga are good for our mental health. This does not mean that anxiety will disappear, but Yoga gives us the tools to put anxiety in the back seat, while we determine a positive direction in life. The struggle for direction is within our minds. We must be aware of the struggle from within.

Pessimistic thought is not productive, yet there are many pessimists ruled by the dark side. For them, nothing will work because they already have the Why me attitude. everything is against them, or so they think, and that is where the problem lies.

Unless you can master your thinking, you will not suppress negative thoughts. How does Yoga do this? The principle is simple. Lets use 21st century jargon to give you a clear picture. Yoga is an ancient, but constantly evolving, science of life. The Yoga practitioner reprograms his or her thoughts.

Your mind is your best friend, and your worst enemy, at the same time. When you attend Yoga classes regularly, under the guidance of a competent Yoga teacher, your mind and body become charged with positive energy.

If you look at the facial expressions of Yoga students after a class, you will notice they are in a state of bliss. If this is not the case, they have not found the right place yet. There is no need to be discouraged. We find what we seek in life.

Halo is the Game that Shows No Signs of Ending

It has been almost a year since the highly anticipated and extravagantly successful xbox game "Halo 2" was released by microsoft game Studios. Today , 6.5 million copies later, the game has received reviews and awards that would and did make any die-hard gamer drop everything they were doing, even work, to rush right out and buy one, and "Halo 2" is now offering a little something more to its very loyal fans.

November 9, 2004, is a day that will be remembered fondly by those who fought the midnight crowds to get their hands on what would become the most popular microsoft xbox game ever distributed, and a day that would be forever resented by those who camped out and came away empty handed. On this great day in gaming history, a little more than 6,500 well-known retailers opened their doors at midnight in what would become the greatest shopping frenzy in gaming history.

The frenzy was so great, that employers reported that there were quite a few sick days taken on November 10. Some say it was due to the "Halo 2" flu. Well the "Halo 2" flu season is again in full swing as microsoft recently announced the release of its greatly anticipated "Halo 2" Multiplayer map pack on June 28.

The multiplayer expansion pack, which is the first of its kind for a console title, contains nine new multiplayer maps to push gamers' skills to their limits and will be available in both retail outlets and via xbox Live. The retail package also features two new videos: an animated short from the single-player story in New Mombasa and a mini-documentary that includes interviews with the map designers, combat strategies, and fly-throughs of the new maps. The retail pack also allows gamers who prefer offline play via system link and split-screen to upgrade their Halo 2 experience with new maps.

As a special bonus and thank you, xbox live subscribers got an early chance to check out four maps from the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map pack in late April. two maps, Containment and Warlock, were presented by Mountain Dew at no cost to xbox live subscribers. two additional maps, Sanctuary and Turf, were available for purchase via Xbox live. The final five maps became available on June 28.

Set in a Forerunner environment on Delta Halo, Containment is a massive, icy, outdoor environment suitable for vehicle combat and large team objective games such as Capture the Flag. Warlock, a small to midsized indoor arena set in ancient Forerunner ruins, offers ample opportunities for a variety of game types such as Territories, Slayer, Team Slayer, and more.

Located in the streets of old Mombasa near the wreckage of a downed Covenant Scarab, Turf is a midsized asymmetrical urban combat environment with narrow streets, dark alleyways, and easily defendable buildings. The sunlit remains of an ancient Forerunner temple, Sanctuary is a medium-sized symmetrical environment excellent for Capture the Flag, Assault, Territories, and Slayer games.

As you can see, if you're not one of the many that has been infected by the "Halo 2" flu, you may be missing out on a great deal of gaming fun. Is it possible that I can see a sick day in your immediate future as you catch up on lost time?

Focus On Golf And Life

Which one of us that plays the wonderful game of Golf hasnt faced a putt with butterflies in their stomach? It is not uncommon to feel the inner doubts as we contemplate feel, direction and speed of the putt. Did you ever stop to think about how the Professionals consistently make those 8 footers? How do they tune out all those negative influences?

It is my opinion that the answer is focus, the same focus that applies to everyday life. It is so hard to concentrate on more than two things at once. Imagine standing over the golf ball getting ready to execute the shot. What must go through your mind? Am I standing right, is my grip too tight, am I aiming correctly, are my knees bent, what was that golf tip that I read yesterday?

When I was a young man and just starting to discover golf, I started as a caddie at a very prestigious country club. At first caddying was just a job to me, but as the summer rolled on I learned to appreciate the sport and after trying to hit a golf ball was in awe at the shots that the good golfers executed. At some of the local tournaments, I was amazed at how the Golfers would focus on every shot.

golf at the time when I was young was a rich mans sport. I was just a poor kid from the city who lucked out in obtaining my caddy job. My Mom was a waitress and used to serve the Vice President of the bank his lunch every day. When she mentioned that I needed a summer job, he helped me to get the caddy job. I caddied for three years and then joined the Navy.

While I was stationed in Long beach, California, one of my buddies was a scratch Golfer and he taught me the basics of the game. There was a 9 hole course on the base and I was hooked on golf. After I was discharged, I started to play as much as I can. I also worked as a volunteer at many tournaments and all this did was to reinforce in my thinking what I learned a long time ago, the importance of focus.

Through the years, I have tried not to flood my mind with random thoughts, but rather focus on the problem at hand. Think clearly, commit yourself to your goal and execute it. Try not to think of too many things at once. this is what I believe the Professionals do.

You dont have to be the best Golfer in the world, but it is very satisfying to train yourself to focus and be the best that you can be.
